Nina turns 1!

Yes, I know that was a few weeks ago but I'm getting there... New food this week that she loves (and even more importantly, can digest) - quinoa!

yikes! it's august!

Somehow the whole summer seems to have gone by in a bit of a blur and we haven't posted anything since June... sorry about that. I finally downloaded the photos from the camera today. We've done a pretty good job of getting outside this summer given the amount of inertia that must be overcome - camping trips, hikes, and a few weekends swapping houses with a family in Squamish. Nathaniel hiked the Chief on his own and is becoming quite a good climber. His confidence in the water has hugely improved after swim lessons this year and we plan to continue them in the Fall. He'll also be going with his best friends to CirKids, a wonderful circus training camp for kids in East Vancouver.


Nina continues to grow and thrive and is busting to keep up with her brother and the other big kids. Next month will be a big adjustment for everyone - Nathaniel starts school, Nina starts daycare and I go back to work. Wish us luck!

Nina continues to thrive and grow - almost doubled in size in fact! She's learning to use her hands and making all kinds of new sounds. She watches her big brother very carefully and smiles with her whole body when he walks in the room.
